Abstract: With the rapid development of computer and network technology, the IoT (Internet of Things) technology has been being applied to weather modification activities. The application of IoT technology has effectively improved the level of information and automation of weather modification equipment and ammunition management. Furthermore, it has improved the standardized and scientific level of weather modification work across our country. The application of IoT technology in weather modification is reviewed in this paper. The IoT based weather modification system, which has been promoted and established from national level, is used as an example to analyze the function, application, and effectiveness of the IoT technology in weather modification. Finally, the existing problems in the application of the IoT technology in weather modification are analyzed and some suggestions are put forward.
