Abstract:
Sounding data play an important role in numerical prediction, data assimilation, weather analysis, climate change, satellite data calibration and other research. The magnitude of sounding temperature bias is continuously affected by natural factors such as solar radiation and historical human factors such as changes in observation system, which make the bias correction work very complex. It has brought great trouble and uncertainty to the above research fields. Based on the investigation of the development status of the main technologies and related products of the sounding temperature bias correction in demostic and overseas, this paper focuses on the comparison and analysis of the technical methods of different foreign scientific research institutions, discusses the development status of the sounding temperature bias correction in China, puts forward relevant suggestions for future research plans.
