A Study on the Research Trends in Atmospheric Science Based on Papers from Nature and Science

  • 摘要: 基于NatureScience刊载的大气科学领域研究论文,对大气科学领域创新研究态势进行探索。利用文献计量学方法和文本挖掘技术,对发文趋势、发文国家或地区、研究机构、研究热点及研究前沿等进行分析。结果表明,大气科学领域研究热点主要涉及全球变暖的影响和预估、大气成分的观测和排放量估算、碳汇及碳循环气候响应以及气溶胶的气候效应等;人工智能技术在气象预报中的应用和气候变化下极端天气机理和预测研究是未来的前沿热点和重要方向。建议提升中国在顶级期刊中的大气科学研究成果体量和引领能力,推进大气科学与不同学科领域的交叉融合创新。

     

    Abstract: Based on Nature and Science papers in the field of atmospheric science, the research trends in atmospheric science have been explored. Using bibliometrics and text mining methods, the publication trend, countries/regions, institutions, research hotspots and frontiers are analyzed. The results show that the research hotspots of atmospheric science mainly cover the impact and projection of global warming, the observation and emission estimation of atmospheric components, the carbon sinks and climate response to the carbon cycle, as well as the climate effects of aerosols. The application of artificial intelligence in weather forecast and the research on the mechanism and prediction of extreme weather events under climate change are important directions and research frontiers in the future. It is suggested to enhance Chinese atmospheric scientific research output and dominance rate in the top journals, and promote the interdisciplinary integration and innovation between atmospheric science and other disciplines.
