Developing Ground-Based Remote Sensing of Atomospheric Profile

  • The emergence of radiosonde and networking promote the development of meteorology. The development of groundbased remote sensing of atmospheric profile will promote the understanding of the evolvement of meso- and micro-scale weather systems and severe weather, and improve the ability of forecasting these systems. The main technologies of ground-based remote sensing of atmospheric profile have been mature, but it is more complex and difficult than radiosond. There are many problem needed to be solved in the aspect of application, research and development, comprehensive integration and so on. Comprehensive integration of varieties of technologies has become the characteristics and trend of the development of atmospheric profile detection. On one hand it will provide more elements to meet the application requirements, on the other hand it will improve the ability of atmospheric profile detection and improve the detection accuracy.
