Current Status and Outlook of the Aviation Meteorological Service in China

In recent years, China’s civil aviation transportation develops rapidly, the performance of Aircraft improves obviously, the flights increasing rapidly. These lead the influence of some important weather on flight operation safety and benefit intensifying, and the fl ight operation is effected by the weather obviously. This paper briefly describes the aviation meteorology service system and their users in detail, including aviation meteorological observation and detection, data collection and processing, forecast products and warning, fl ight meteorological information release and exchange. An outlook for the future is suggested in order to promote the service capability.
