Progress of Key Technologies for Climate Change Adaptation in Shanghai Urban

  • This work sets Shanghai as a demonstration to address on the issues that how to improve climate change adaptation.We focus on three aspects in terms of climate monitoring (diagnostic analysis of more than 100 years’ observation data) and prediction technique(statistical and dynamic downscaling method), climate change assessment technique (for flood, agriculture and energy) and urban climate risk assessment decision support technique(including the urban climate disaster and infrastructure risk assessment tool, RDM method and urban simulator). It analyzes and summarize the innovation of core techniques on urban climate change adaptation and proposes direction of future development in order to provide theoretical basis and technical support for other cities' implementation of climate change research and action plan.
