Design and Implementation of the Meteorological Data Element Administration System

Meteorological data element is the smallest indivisible data unit in meteorological data. Meteorological data element administration system is a software platform which can register, administrate, maintain and publish meteorological data elements, share data elements in the meteorological business process and assure the global consistency of all the data elements. In this paper, we introduce the standard and classi fication of meteorological data elements and discuss the functional structure, technical framework and some key technologies of the meteorological data element administration system.
