Advances in Research of Impacts of Aerosol Pollution on Crop in China

  • Aerosol emissions formed by polluting gases are rapidly increasing since the industrial revolution. Consequently, haze and fog frequently occur and there are widespread concerns about the possible harmful effects of aerosol pollution on crop. This paper summaries a series of scientific achievements of the impacts of aerosol pollution on crop in China in recent decades, including mainly about the possible impact of aerosol pollution on crop, the impacts of aerosol pollution on crop growth and development and yield formation, and so on. Finally, based on the current researches, we point out the insufficiency at present studies and some areas which is needed to be improved, then put forward prospects of the researches in the future.
