Application of ZigBee Wireless Sensor Network in the TWP3 Wind Profile Radar System

  • It is of importance to collect and upload wind profiler radar status as well as indoor and outdoor environment. The traditional scheme is to read the information through the serial port of the master computer, based on the cable communication protocols such as RS232 or RS422. This scheme has the disadvantages of complicated wiring, limited number of computer serial ports, and difficulty in increasing the number of sensors. The ZigBee wireless sensor network is a new scheme., The radar status monitor and indoor and outdoor environment information detection circuit board are set to network terminal nodes with the ZigBee chip CC2538. The master computer is installed with a ZigBee communication module into network co-ordinator. A small star-shaped ZigBee wireless sensor network is established. The network communication is reliable, the wiring is simple, the serial port is saved, and the expansion is convenient, which provides an idea for the further Internet-of-Things transformation of wind profiler radar.
