Evaluation and Application of Meteorological Information for Tourism

Based on the investigation of domestic evaluation methods of meteorological information for tourism, we selected seven meteorological indicators related to tourism to create the evaluation index system and method of meteorological information for tourism. The actual values of each evaluation index were calculated and standardized. Weights were assigned to the evaluation index system using the expert grading method and analytic hierarchy process. Finally, the evaluation model of meteorological information for tourism was constructed. Dalian municipality was selected as a case study where results of Huludao, Donggang, Anshan, and Xiuyan were compared. Based on historical climate statistics, the assessment indices of meteorological information for tourism were calculated for the four cities. In addition, the comparative analysis was carried out to identify the pros and cons of meteorological information for tourism in each city.
